Narain Karthikeyan--the other brother

THE OTHER BROTHER!
You don’t need to introduce Narain Karthikeyan, the fastest Indian on four wheels! But you may have to celebrate the fact that he is the face of the Other Brother, the fifth of a family that decided to give the heart and soul to their charity and accept philanthropy as next of kin--the PSG family.
Narain is one of the nearly 180 descendents of the original four brothers who created the PSG charities the byword for quality education and entrepreneurship in the industrial township of south India Coimbatore. Narain and his kin are the true souls of the other brother as the foursome who created the PSG charities intended.
That for eight generations the families of the four brothers and their descendents stayed connected through the phenomenon of charity work being carried out by the Other Brother, should speak volumes about the new and practical meaning the founders of PSG gave to charity, a solution that has been tormenting the minds of hearts of the philanthropists around the world who want their charities to continue in spirit and intention beyond their times.
A Book is on the works with me (Thothathri Raman) and Dr Nandagopal writing it to celebrate the phenomenon of the Other Brother, which has given a totally new meaning to philanthropy and provided practically the most foolproof solution to continuing with the original spirit of charity even after the person who has created the charity is passed into history.
our appeal is to anyone from the PSG family, its extended clan, or any of the close friends, associates of the family to give us insights into the way it has worked with PSG. Any anecdote, comment, pictures would work. You can write to psgbook@gmail.com or send as a comment to this blog.
Our special appeal to the PSG family to send in their simple details like their e-mail, brief background of what they are doing at present, their idea of charity or their experience of charity and their way of contributing to the work of the other brother, the PSG charities which runs the PSG Tech, PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, PSG Arts and of course the Sarvajana School and so on.
with warm regards
Thothathri Raman (I will keep blogging)
